Teletherapy
Frequently Asked Questions
What is teletherapy?
Speech and occupational therapy evaluations and therapy sessions can now be completed online via a secure and interactive video conference with you and your child.
Is teletherapy appropriate for my child?
Most preschool and school aged children are able to actively participate in online teletherapy sessions! Teletherapy sessions are as effective as in person sessions for most children and can be a helpful tool for your child's development.
How much does teletherapy cost?
Telehealth appointments are billed at the same rate as our in person sessions. Schedule your appointment now!
What do I need to participate in a teletherapy session?
You will need a computer or tablet that can connect to the internet. We suggest that you help your child get set up a few minutes before the appointment to make sure your technology is ready and your child is in a comfortable place.
Do I need to be present during my child's teletherapy session?
We love parent participation in any of our sessions- in person OR online! Our role as therapists is to partner with parents in their child's development so we love to interact with you and to answer any questions you have along the way! Teletherapy sessions are most effective when an adult is nearby or actively participating with young children during our sessions to assist with any technology challenges and to understand goals and carryover from our sessions. Older children and teens can often participate in sessions independently.
